KIVA
KIVA is a
basic coupled thermal, solid mechanics finite element program and was created to use as a basis to deriving specialty code for specific applications. The KIVA program is a very capable program which uses has a
temperature dependent isotropic thermal and elastic plastic material model.

DanteTM/KIVA
- DanteTM/KIVA is a coupled thermal, carbon diffusion, solid mechanics finite element program for simulating the heat treatment of ferrous parts, predicting the resultant residual stress state, phase volume fractions and part distortion.
- Multiphase material model is coupled with a diffusive and martensitic phase transformation kinetics model.
- Used by metallurgists, process engineers, heat treaters and designers.
- Simulation capabilities include heating, carburization, immersion quenching, gas quenching, press or fixtured quenching, and tempering
- The DanteTM/KIVA capabilities are build on top the KIVA capabilities.
- Distributed by Deformation Control Technology, Inc.
